Who is an ambassador?
Ambassadors represent their home country while working and living in the country to which they’ve been appointed. Jesus was a perfect example of an ambassador on earth.
He was focused on His Father’s mission on earth.
“For I have come down from heaven not to do my will but to do the will of him who sent me.” John 6:38
He knew who he was, appropriated his father’s power to accomplish his mission on earth, and most importantly he did not allow the pressure of this world to derail him.
Who are you supposed to be representing anywhere you find yourself?
God: “We're Christ's representatives. God uses us to persuade men and women to drop their differences and enter into God's work of making things right between them. We're speaking for Christ himself now: Become friends with God; he's already a friend with you.”(MSG) 2Cor 5:20
Your Nation: “You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals because you were slain, and with your blood, you purchased for God persons from every tribe and language and people and nation. You have made them be a kingdom and priests to serve our God, and they will reign on the earth.”
Your Family: “wise son brings joy to his father, but a foolish man despises his mother”-Pro. 15:20.” A wise son brings joy to his father, but a foolish son brings grief to his mother”- Pro 10:1.
Yourself: “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each of us may receive what is due us for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad”- 2 Cor 5:10
The ambassadorial role is a trust with privileges and it comes with responsibilities. For you to succeed in this role you must have the following:
Secure Identity: the questions of who and who you are, where you are going, who is your best companion in the journey of life must be settled as you step into your teenage years otherwise you will be consumed by an identity crisis.
Perfect Vision: the perfect picture of the future you can see yourself in, looking through the eyes of God your maker. This is not a delusion or an ambition. It is the maximum utilization of your natural talent, experiences, and opportunities in serving the purpose why God created you.
Healthy Value System: A person's standards and self-discipline are set, based on faith belief, common sense, and wisdom of knowing what the proper moral rules and discipline are, and the amount of willingness to see yourself abide by them.
Values are the cardinal points of our lives that will achieve our dream future.
Some core values of great achievers are Spirituality, Integrity, Determination, Growth, Inner Harmony, Hard Work, Self-Respect, Service and Trustworthiness
Guiding Principles for Living: this is a default mindset that determines how we live our lives daily. It is an active working value system that guards every part of our life either knowingly or unknowingly. If the principle we lived by determines the outcome of our lives, it is, therefore, a wise thing to be able to choose our principle and to be known by it.
You Are Unique — Believe It!
“For God had something better in mind for us, so that they would not reach perfection without us”.-Heb 11:40
“My only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the good news of God's grace.” (Acts 20:24 NIV)
You’re the only person in the world who can live your life. No one else can live your life for you, and no one else competes with you to complete the task God gave you.
Take a deep breath, and rest in the truth that God created you with such a unique mix of spiritual gifts, passions, abilities, personality, and experiences that only you can be you.
No one else can duplicate you, and you cannot, should not, imitate anyone. You are an original masterpiece from the Master’s hand.
Your uniqueness means you’re the only one who can fulfill the mission that God assigned for you to complete. We shouldn’t waste a precious minute of life doing things that don’t matter if it means the most important thing, we can do is left undone.
It’s never too late to start pursuing faithfully the mission God has set before you — the one he designed you to complete. You may think you don’t have skills God can use, but the truth is God designed you with the very skills he needs in you to do what he asks of you.
You are uniquely, wonderfully, and fearfully made.
Conclusion
Think about everything God has done for you. He is calling you. He demands that you let go of your sinful lifestyle. He is willing to prepare you to accomplish his goal for your life.
